‘Hunger Games’ trailer

Having just read the first book this past weekend, and already moving onto the second without hesitation, I can’t wait to see this movie.  The casting of Woody Harrelson as Haymitch is perfect and the same goes for Stanley Tucci for Caesar.  AND LENNY KRAVITZ AS CINNA.  I LOVE IT.

This refrigerator matches my KitchenAid mixer and for those things to match would be as wonderful as the childhood gifts from my Aunt Pat where the socks always matched the shirts.  I love so much about this little kitchen.

George Saunders on The Colbert Report

Colbert: What does the popsicle represent here?  ’Cause I know you people are all about metaphors.
Saunders: Sometimes a popsicle is just a popsicle.

Let’s get some hats, indeed.

Just got another email from Hyundai…
I DO like texting my friends, crazy-good food spots, rocking the eff out while on the go AND, coincidentally, am a GIANT OCTOPUS in a HUMAN SUIT.  It IS, like, the car version of me.
I’d go Vitamin C Orange.

2009 US Open: Djokovic vs. McEnroe (for fun)

All the more reason to love these guys!

I got to see John McEnroe play last night!  YOU CANNOT BE SERIOUS!

Joe got us tickets for Champions Series Tennis (thanks, Joe!!!), which is currently touring around the nation (final night is Saturday).  Last night we were able to see Todd Martin play Jim Courier, John McEnroe play Andre Agassi, and finally, Andre Agassi play Jim Courier (winners of the previous matches in the evening).  Courier took the matches tonight, beating Agassi in a tie-breaker.

There were some amazing shots including Martin accomplishing a backwards-between-the-legs shot.  Agassi and Courier’s serves were incredible (so many aces!), and their returns when they faced off against each other only made the matches more exciting.  McEnroe also got a little heated, which made myself and the other fans quite happy.

Overall, it was great to see these pros square off against each other.  Now I just really want to go to the US Open and probably Wimbledon.  Both would be glorious.  :)
